This module introduces the practice of reflection. Asking reflective questions is the only required creative skill that needs to be learned. Too often, adults ask a question that is counterproductive, such as, “Why are you doing that?” The printable Resource Guide has a number of pages of reflective questions to get you started. The idea that you cannot learn and be perfect at the same time is explored. A theory of how stuttering starts is explained. Tone, volume, and kinesics are shown to be critical aspects of communication. Included in the module is the critical point that by the very nature of asking questions, stress is reduced.
